Make a limited experience record precise and relevant. This review focus is for students preparing a quant internship application with coursework, projects, tutoring, competitions or other genuine contributions.
The goal is to show what you can currently demonstrate. It is not to make a student project sound like professional portfolio management.
What gets attention
Project ownership, relevant coursework, accurate tool experience, readable section order and the relationship between your evidence and the target internship. Eligibility and graduation requirements still come from the actual listing.
A fictional example
Original: “Highly analytical student passionate about markets.”
Evidence: implemented a simulation, compared it with an exact finite calculation and wrote the explanation.
Conditional revision: “Simulated a finite probability model and checked its output against exact enumeration; documented the sampling assumptions and discrepancy.”
This gives the reader an artifact and a follow-up. It does not need an invented investment return or a claim of mastery across every technical topic.
Choose evidence when experience is limited

Start with the strongest completed work. A small simulation checked against an exact answer is easier to discuss than a broad “quant platform” that does not run. Mark an unfinished project as in progress and describe completed components only.
Before intake, check the target internship's graduation window and other stated requirements. Resume feedback can help present your evidence; it cannot decide eligibility for the employer.
